I have started a new journey, stumbling mainly but occasionally gliding.

After many years of enjoying the concept of photography I've actually taken the plunge, got off my backside and invested a bit of money, lots and lots of time and heaps of frustration turning an enjoyment into a passion.

I have also decided to blog about my experience and have set myself the Manual 365 challange, to take at least one picture a day using Manual settings and then utilise the Internet and Social Media to my cause, you can find me on most platforms from Facebook through Twitter to Google+ together with hosting sites like Flickr and 500px, just search for Focalthingy you can find my blog at focalthingy.wordpress.com.

 

My work is most definitely in progress but due to the challenges I have set myself I am expecting to improve over time and hopefully this website will be a document to this end.
